        In order to qualify for the World’s Championship Duck Calling Contest a caller must win a duck calling contest that is sanctioned by the World’s Championship Rules Committee. The Rules Committee only sanctions one State Championship per State, and a series of Regional Events. All toll, each year there are only about 65 duck calling contests that qualify the winner for a “ticket on the bus” in Stuttgart.

The 'Alabama State Duck Calling Contest' is a State Championship duck calling contest sanctioned by the World's Championship Duck Calling Contest Rules Committee. The winner of this contest is qualified to compete in the World's Championship Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Arkansas.

This sanctioned duck calling contest has had a single name during the years that CallingDucks.com has gathered history, from 1997 to 2011.
