Caller: Vocalization:

TheQuiver Moan  This vocalization is a variation of the Moan

Wade Walling
'The quiver moan is sound that I learned from Kelly Powers. Its a real neat sound and you can hear geese do it sometimes. It pretty easy to do this sound on a short reed call. Blow a moan and flutter your middle, ring, and pinkie finger over the insert of the call and it will give it the quiver. You don't want to flutter the hand too much though, you still want to have a good flow of air exiting the call or it will break the note up and sound like a little kid doing the Indian war cry (Everyone remembers doing it as a kid playing cowboys and indians with their friends).'
Venue: Hunting, Contest
Situation: Greeting, Comeback, Laydown

Kyle Rinella
'Used to place emphasis of stress on either the train or spit note. Gives EXTREME character to both of these notes.'
Venue: Hunting, Contest
Situation: Comeback, Laydown

Sean Mann
'Moan with a “warble” to give emotion. Great finisher in either hunting or contest situations.'
Venue: Hunting, Contest
Situation: Laydown

'A TECHNIQUE used to stress emphasis on the spit-moan Gives the note a lot of definition and the effect that the goose is flying by instead of just a boring spit moan.'
Venue: Hunting, Contest
Situation: Comeback, Laydown
